Are You Immune from Being Hypnotized?
No doubt you have been hypnotized without your knowing.
Just look at this cigarette ad.
It’s a cigarette ad. But how is it selling cigarettes? Right, with sex.
Get your mind off the cigarettes, off the ashtray smell, off the black smoke filling up the lungs, and get your mind on sex, which, of course, is enticing.
So, why does this ad work?
Because it’s not selling cigarettes… it’s selling sexiness. You connect sex with the cigarettes. You want some sexiness? You buy the cigarettes.
After you look at this ad enough times – repitition works here – and you, too, will be “hypnotized” into believing cigarettes are sexy. Now, tell me, honestly, were you ever hypnotized by an ad?
I’m waiting…..
You Were.
You just didn’t know it.

Take a Closer Look at HOW You Have Been Hypnotized
It’s easy to see the girl enticing you to try Camel Cigarettes merely with her seductive eyes and her sexual pose.
Yet, I want you to take a closer look. You shall begin to see a deeper hypnotic level of suggestion being utilized in the ad. This information I’m about to share may alarm you. You WILL be put on notice, from now on, whenever looking at advertisements that use “SEX” to sell.
Okay. Let’s begin by looking at the word “SEX.”
For many men, when scanning a page of text, those three letters in that particular order are noticed more readily than any other word, anywhere. They attract attention. That’s understood.
Human nature has been conditioned (a subtle form of hypnosis) by the media, who inundate us with messages loaded with sexual imagery.
OK. Back to the word “SEX.” When the word, “sex,” appears, it pops out more than other words, by its very nature. It’s like you can spot it, like a ruby in a large sandy beach.
Now, go back to the ad of the sexy girl with the cigarette in its holder. The word “sex” is written in her pose. Look carefully. Can you actually read it? The letters S-E-X? Or do I have to point them out to you?
NOTE: Her two arms flowing together in their arrangement are in the shape of an “S,” though backwards. Her body and head cross her arms like the letter “X.” And finally, we can see the shape of the letter “E” in her cigarette holder, her arm, and her legs.
Thus, not only her seductive self, the three actual letters of the word “sex” are included in this advertisement.
Subtle? Suggestive influence? Hypnosis?
You got it, partner…
This ad is screaming with the message of sex, trying to sell you something based on a completely different desire. It juxtaposes two desires into one. You have a desire for sex and you have a desire to smoke. Human sexual desire is paramount. When its matched together like this with your desire to smoke, however, it elevates your desire for smoking. This is why it is hypnotic.
It’s tricking you to want to smoke.
You may think you were not hypnotized, because you may have justified in your mind that the Camel brand is a pretty cool cigarette in and of itself. But really now, who is fooling themselves?
